The Institute for Children and Families is environmentally different from most therapy facilities. The colors on the walls are not what you find in most other children's facilities. The soft and soothing colors were chosen because of the calming effect they have on the nervous system.

Virtually everything in the facility from the paint, to the carpet and carpet glue, to the furniture, was carefully chosen because of the minimal levels of Volatile Chemicals contained in them, which can affect an already sensitive nervous system.

Also chosen was the lighting in the facility. Natural, not florescent lighting is incorporated throughout the office complex. The effect is to produce an environmentally friendly, calming facility for our young clients and their families.
