Lotion With Surprise
Lotion child's foot in a vertical fashion saying, "slippery
(pause), slippery (pause - making sure there is eye
contact), slip." When the adult says slip, the slip is an
exaggerated, surprising and fun motion.
Donut Dare
Take turns biting a donut without breaking the ring. Pause
between bites and ask, "Where do you think I should bite
now?"
Blow ping-pong balls back and forth
Pause between turns and ask, "Should we blow hard or soft?"
Seed Spitting Contest
Hiding and Finding
One parent hides with the child by covering both with a
blanket or pillows, other parent joyfully finds and uncovers
the treasure.
Pass a Message
What am I writing on your back?
Stack of Hands
Put lotion on parent's and child's hands and make a hand
stack, alternating slippery hands. Slowly pull out the
bottom hand and place it on top. Go faster and faster and
giggle.
Patty Cake
Can be played with feet too!
"Patty Cake, Patty Cake
Baker's man
Bake me a cake as fast as you can.
Pit it and pat it and mark it with a (child's initial)
And put it in the oven for (child's name) and me."
Miss Mary Mack
Clap your hands together and then clap each other's hands as
you recite the rhyme.
"Miss Mary Mack, Mack, Mack
All dressed in black, black, black
With silver buttons, buttons, buttons
All down her back, back, back
She asked her mother, mother, mother
For 50 cents, cents, cents
To see the elephants, elephants, elephants

Count or Measure Body Parts
Balance a Pillow
Balance a pillow between you and your child as you walk
across the room. Maintain eye contact and speed-up or
slow-down the pace of the walk.
Powder Tickles
Child closes eyes and guesses where powder was put on body.
Pop Cheeks
Parent fills oen cheeks with air and guides child's hands to
push gently on parent's cheeks with finger to pop out the
air. Encourage child to fill up their cheeks and parent pops
them. Toes can also be used to pop cheeks.

Parent gently presses nose, ear, toe and "beeps", "honks",
etc.
Shoe and Sock Race
Both parents race to put kisses on feet and then cover with
shoes and socks.
