Parent/Guardian Education and Therapy
The Institute for Children and Families is dedicated to
teaching and training our parents, guardians and caregivers
to interact effectively with their difficult child. Parents
frequently describe themselves as "depleted" when they call
the ICF for the first time. We at ICF know that the parents
need "refueling" in order to pursue effective treatment for
their child. ICF offers on-site training and education for
parents, both during weekly sessions and through formal,
intensive training sessions. Look for upcoming trainings in
our "Training"
Section
The staff of the ICF also offers a Parent Education Program.
For more information visit our
"Parent Education"
Section.
The staff at ICF recommends parents find out more about the
effects of trauma and attachment. For a list of books and
other useful information visit our
"Suggested Reading"
Section.
